Jon is deeply attached to Lymington and neighbouring villages although he lived away in Southampton for forty years. As a multi-instrumentalist, Jon will have a crack at anything involving a tin whistle (horn pipes), banjo (historical American), mandolin (music hall), and even the occasional ‘Poem of Protest’!

Jon brings a unique energy and enthusiasm to each performance and always amazes us with his astonishing memory for lyrics (mostly)! His battles with a truculent mandolin are legendary which he almost always wins after a titanic (and entertaining) struggle.

He is a stalwart supporter of worthy causes and has been known to appear at the crack of dawn in unusual locations celebrating historic triumphs over adversity. He was also instrumental (pun!) in helping Debbie, our Ice Cream Lady, get an exemption to a recent parking restriction.

Jon is a true legend and we look forward to enjoying his performances and sharing them more widely.
