Defiantly untamed, The Mighty Heartache is a startlingly original band with a range of totally unique songs. We’ve attended gigs where the audience sighs at the delivery of a heartfelt ballad one minute then bounces to their feet the next to a raunchy rockabilly number.
Led by the charismatic Micky C (songwriter, vocals & guitar), their original songs combine vivid storytelling, catchy tunes and stunning vocal harmonies that give the band a distinctive, rich emotional edge. Harmonies are deftly delivered by vocalist Michelle Facey to a rich melodic soundscape provided by Howard Sarna on lead guitar. As a five piece band, they are accompanied by Dafydd Jones on drums and Richard Cleveley on bass guitar.
Renowned for their live versatility, The Mighty Heartache are as compelling as a high-energy three-piece in intimate venues as they are a full-throttle five-piece on festival stages. Their ability to scale their sound without losing power or presence makes them a standout act in any setting.
