Plum Loco

North Dorset band, Plum Loco are extraordinary. Tuneful, yet playful lyrics delivered to a tight hypnotic groove, their music combines melodic and rhythmic surprise with the experience of being on the receiving end of a warm, chocolatey musical hug.

Plum Loco brings together the well-travelled musical journeys of Nick and Lisa, who first met at the end of the last century in a shared band. Nick’s path took him from London across Europe and North America before settling in Canada, working with a range of bands and singer-songwriters, and returning to the UK in 2023.

Lisa, meanwhile, spent decades in England writing and performing in a long-standing partnership, along with a stint on drums in a ska band that kept dancefloors moving. Her songwriting blends storytelling with a natural musical instinct shaped by years of live work.

Reunited, they now perform Lisa’s songs in a stripped-back, “less is more” style. Plum Loco’s sound moves easily between genres – from ska to swing, blues to folk, with touches of country and flamenco – delivered with warmth, simplicity, and a subtle sense of humour.
